By accessing or using Synthize ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Synthize is an AI-powered personal knowledge management application that helps users capture, organize, and connect their ideas. The Service includes features such as AI synthesis, knowledge graph visualization, idea validation, task extraction, and book tracking.

3. Account Registration

To use Synthize, you must:

Be at least 13 years of age
Provide accurate and complete registration information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Free Tier and Pro Subscription

Synthize offers a permanent free tier: you can capture entries, journal, and use AI synthesis up to a monthly allowance at no cost, with no time limit and no payment card required. The optional Pro subscription adds unlimited AI syntheses and idea pressure-testing, billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time; upon cancellation, you retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period, after which your account returns to the free tier.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to Synthize. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content for the purpose of providing the Service (e.g., AI synthesis, storage, display). We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any illegal purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
Interfere with or disrupt the Service
Upload malicious code or content
Resell or redistribute the Service without permission

7. AI-Generated Content

Synthize uses AI to help organize and synthesize your ideas. AI-generated suggestions, titles, tags, and insights are provided as assistance and should be reviewed by you. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated content.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the past 12 months.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
